There is a very active and informative Hessian discussion list on
Rootsweb, called QUEBEC-HESSIANS:
A number of books are available on this subject, many of them in
English. One written by Mr. Merz might be of particular relevance to you
as he does mention the De KOVACZY (de KUWATSCH, de KOVADCHY, de
KOVACHICH) family's founder Janos KOVACZY.
Either way, I am sure our cousin Florent will be able to pipe in with
