Now I have a well kept, but ugly dog that just came over to me. Big head,
brown shiny coat, pushed in face with lots of wrinkles, so I petted it,
offered him some of the doggie treats I carry in my pocket while in cemeteries,
the good kind, but got refused and he stuck his head down a wood chuck
hole.(< Or for the sake of one person , maybe that should read, the whole
hole............................) The owner came along and told me it was a
Char Pay, <least that's the way its pronounced. I have no idea, have never
seen it in print. He actually apologized for his dog not taking the doggie
treats, as the owner said, if he has his mind set on woodchucks, he wont have
anything to do with anything else, treat or not. So I gave the owner a few
for the dog for later...........................LOL I give out Marrow

Back in Boston in 1630, those guys really loved their whipping-post. One
poor fellow got whipped for stealing a loaf of bread, another for shooting
fowl on the Sabbath, another for swearing, yet another for striking his
mother. And sometimes if the swearing was strong enough, besides a whipping they
got their years nailed to the whipping post also, some with three nails in
each ear, and so they couldn't get out of it, they split the nails so they
couldn't pull off of them. And after all that, they were warned never to
come back to that jurisdiction again, 'ya think that part was really
necessary?

Which reminds me of my 2nd to last week of my senior class before exams.
Never before had I attempted to skip a day of school. But then and there I
got the urge. And I did, and I got caught. And I went to the Dean of
Students. For skipping a day of school, they gave me a week off of school. When I
came back I took my exams, passed and have never been back there again. But,
had I known that skipping a day of school, got you a whole week off, I
would have been a professional at that trick. Parochial schools have odd
tactics.............Gee, that was 40 years ago.......................

The Indians had a bit of a hard time understanding the Jesuits. 1st they
thought the Jesuits ritual was an attempt at killing them, since they always
baptized people who were dying.
They also thought the Jesuits were demons for keeping their God in a box
and eating him.
That's a couple reasons the Indians killed so many Jesuits and
Missionaries, because the Indians weren't getting the correct message.
