Yep! This illustrates precisely what I mean.
In this case, someone will be no doubt attempt to turn the good Sir
Hertel de Rouville into a scion of the Rainville clan....
The name in the margin and in the act is clearly Rouville. In this case
it purports to Jean Baptiste René Melchior Louis Charles Jacques HERTEL
de ROUVILLE. We are talking real French nobility, here, and nothing to
do with the RAINVILLE clan.
His bride is Emélie Hermine DAIGLE.
HERTEL de ROUVILLE is well known to Quebec historians, by the way, as in
"seigneurie de Rouville"...
