What would be some reasons for dispensing with 2 banns?

I thought it was all due to some kind of relationship issue.

Dispensation for 'cousins' would be different from dispensing with Banns.
One had nothing to do with the other.

On the line below her name, there is a word starting with the letter
V. That V is so big, the top right of it goes over the G in Gaucher,
making it look like a B .

Gaucher...and it is precisely with this person that I am blocked!

There is a Anathalie Gaucher born c. 1838 daughter of Prudent Gaucher and
Elisabeth-Isabelle Ruelle...but I am not sure about this being the right
person. They seems to be from the Rouville, St-Damase, Stukeley region which
would fit Euclide Martel and Euphrosine Godin family.

Hi Doreen,

Thank you for your sending...again. It is because of your first posting
that I was able to get one more generation ancestor.

My problem is that Bella's parents seems to have different first name on
different documents. Could her father be called occasionally Euclide or
Charles-Euclide and her mother Euphrosine Godin or Josephine
Godin...confusing...I have seen a marriage on the Internet between a
Charles-Euclide Martel and Josephine Godin about the right timeframe (1878)
in St-Damase (Rouville). Are they Bella's father and mother?

late Euclid Martel & the late Euphrosine Godin, of this parish of the other
part.

Witnesses: Arthur Godin, Mary Ann Martel, Charles Omer Martel

You will find Bella Martel living with her widowed mother and other
siblings in the 1911 Census as follows:

See: www.automatedgenealogy.com for the 1911 Canada Census of Quebec /
St. Hyacinthe / 5 St. Damase / page 5 where you will find Euphrosine as a
widow living with her children.

The Gingras are at Quebec / Rouville / 6 St. Angèle / page 12 but
Lionel is not with them.
