Hi Robin. I checked PRDH and found the marriage of Charles' parents. He is
listed as being born 01 Jan 1774 in Quebec City. I went to BVMS 2000 but
did not have any luck.
Sorry. God Bless,
Jeannette

Good morning,
I'm searching for the marriage of Charles Launiere/Gamelin, ecuyer, to
Susanne Demille(?), about 1804. Her surname looks like Demille on the
records, but could also be Demuth or Demeule, or something else entirely,
it's not very clear.

I've searched under every variation of Launiere, Gamelin and Demille I can
think of, but have found nothing of a marriage, and I'm beginning to think
that this is another 'marriage by notarial contract'. I believe he is the
son of Joseph Gamelin and Marguerite Renou Lachapelle, married 8 Sept 1749,
St-Franois-du-Lac, and who had their children baptised at Notre-Dame,
Quebec and brother of Michel Launiere/Gamelin who married Marie-Josephe
Duchesneau/Brassard
in 1791 in L'Ancienne-Lorette. Searches in Notre-Dame, L'Ancienne-Lorette
and St-Franois-du-Lac have turned up nothing.

Does anyone know anything of the marriage of this couple?
Thank you, Robin
