Happy Thanksgiving to you and all my Canadian buddies and cousins! I do have one food question. If you guys eat turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas, when do you eat all those fabulous tourtieres?

I looked for Joseph and Marguerite's marriage but no luck. I did find a Joseph DESAUTELS-LAPOINTE married to a Marie-Louise CHARTIER who had several children who were married between 1828 and 1841, all in Terrebonne. I was not, however, able to find their marriage either.

Upon searching for my Louis Lapointe dit Desautels this afternoon, I came
across a listing of baptisms for the children of a Louis Lapointe (in
Napierville !!!).

The name of the spouse is spelled differently at almost each time. If it can
help, I will list the children and the spelling of the mother:

Isaie b. Dec. 7th 1844 Emilie Gueilleray
Joseph b. Oct. 8th.1846 Emilie Garlie
Marie Celina b. June 20th.1848 Emilie Foisy
Francois b. March 19th.1850 Emilie Foisy
Gilbert b. Nov. 8th.1851 Emilie Guillerai
Edmond b. Aug. 21st.1855 Emilie Guillery
Cyprien Philias b. Apr. 2nd.1857 Emelie Girlie
Cyprien Mederic b. Feb. 7th. 1859 Emilie Guitrie
Narcisse b. Sept. 13th. 1860 Emelie Guillery
Moyse b. May 15th. 1862 Emelie Guitrie

So it seems that this family left Napierville after 1862... AND I do not see
where my Stanilslas/ Denis would fit...unles he was born after 1862!

Of course, it is possible this is not my Louis Lapointe....but the wife's
name is quite tempting...and I saw somewhere that the Guillerie/ Guitrie
name could be associated to the name Foisy from time to time.

Anybody can help?

Hi,

Thanks to Dave in Boston who have found the marriage to my Denis/ Stanislas
Lapointe and Josephine Genet/ Jeannotte in St-Joseph du Corbeau,
Coopersville, Clinton County, New-York. I can now move forward with
Stanislas's parents.

I am searching the marriage and parents of Louis Lapointe & Amelie Guillery
circa 1850-58.

I am not sure what should be the Guillery family name...could be a bit
transformed from another name....
