Subject: [Q-R] Pierre Boucher Narrative of Canada - 1664

I have heard references to this book many times, but always figured it was
written in French, therefore I would not be able to read it. Well, the good
news is that I found an English translation, written in 1883 . But the best
part is that I found online at books.google.com. Google has digitized thousands
of books. Once you get to the google book search engine, just type in Pierre
Boucher and a list will appear. It is listed as "Canada in the 17th century:
>From the French of Pierre Boucher, translated by Edward Louis Montizambert"

The original book that Pierre Boucher had printed in Paris in 1664 is titled
"True and Genuine Description of New France, commonly called Canada, and of
the manners and customs and productions of that country"

Since it was a short book I printed it out and able to read to my hearts
contents. Very enjoyable reading. So, I thought I would post the info for anyone
who might be interested in reading it.
