I too got a copy of this dandy little book, and was pleased to see that
after Champlain (who left no poserity in New France) the two most important men
in the founding of Québec were Louis Hébert and Robert Giffard, and I am
related to both thru marriage. Of course Jetté would have told me this, but I
hadn't thought to check.
And of the 18 first families, I am descended from or related to all but a
couple of them.
But I suppose all of us of the French-Canadian persuasion can say the same.
Those first 18 families left a lot of descendants.
Vive Québec, hein?
