Thank you Darlene T. Holling for the lead on the parents of Joseph
Dufresne...For those who may be doing work on the various Dufresne lines,
Dufresne can be dit name for Bouin or Rivard...in the case I was working on
for a friend, it turns out this line goes back from Joseph Bouin-Dufresne
m.Sophronia....... and living in Massena NY, then Potsdam NY in 1840s, to
Nicolas and Marie-Anne Chapdelaine-Lariviere, m. 30 Sept 1811 at St. Michel
de Yamaska, QB, to Nicolas Dufresne m. Mary Paquin, to Joseph Bouin Dufresne
m. Genevieve Robitaille, to Charles Francois Bouin Dufresne m. Madeliene
Gauvin, to Julien Bouin Dufresne member of Company Saurel, Carignan
Regiment m. Marguerite Berrin 2 July 1675, a dau of the King, to Julien
Bouin Dufresne m. Mathurine Bosse...in France.

More mysteries to work on...A son, Simon, of Julien the soldier had a
grandson Francois who moved to Louisiana and started a whole new batch of
Dufrene there...[most of them dropped the "s"]...Cheers tg
