I have been on this site since before Xmas. My understanding, is that it is
a beta site, to be used by ppl. who have volunteered to help the LDS,
transcribe records, and is not yet available for the general population.

If anyone wants the link to volunteer to transcribe, let me know, and I will
be happy to send it to you.
