Hi Lisa,
Yes, there is a little Italy in Montréal, and there are also two
predominantly Italian suburbs on the Montréal island, (Montreal-North
and Saint-Leonard)
In the 1930s, a recently immigrated Italian family would have most
likely settled in that area and the parish was Notre-Dame-de-la-Défense
(Chiesa della Madonna della Difesa).
