I recently came across that one of my ancestors may have served in the above
regiments and would like if someone could direct me to maybe some websites
that would have information on them. According the paper work he served in
the 53rd from 1775 till 24 July 1789 and then joined the 24th till the 24th
of May 1792, when he was discharged and settled in Quebec.
