Hi Cecilia-

I checked Drouin for the marriage records for St. Polycarpe and this
proves once again why we should check with the original when possible.
The marriage record is difficult to read, but I don't see how Catherine's
last name could be read as Millette. It is almost certainly Smith.

Benoni Prevost married Catherine Smith on Feb. 22, 1822 at St. Polycarpe.
Catherine was the daughter of Jacques Smith and Hyppolite Lalonde who
married July 15, 1782.

I have more on the Smith/Schmidt line if you need it.
