I hope this e-mail address is still good.
I wanted to thank you for posting about your stroll through the Fairdale
Cemetery in Hannibal New York. The man with the "fine old Irish name" was my 3rd
great-grandfather Chauncy Tinklepaugh. Your posting led me in a direction I
never would have gone in my research of a family that has been very hard to
document. He had supposedly died in 1866 in Pennsylvania.
Anyway,
Thanks again for being in the right place at the right time and taking the
time to write about it!
Sincerely,
Stacy Rizi

The above is an e-mail that I received recently that I thought I'd share
with all of you, Stacy gave me permission to use her letter.
Stacy isn't a member of the list but somehow by punching in Tinklepaugh, she
came up with one of the cemetery reports off the net.
To me, this is better than a cake. Makes it very rewarding to see even
through the humour, history, sadness etc. ,someone has found a vital piece of
information concerning their family that they were totally unaware of.
I believe this is the 7th time I've received an e-mail similar to this.
Makes visiting the cemeteries, writing the cemetery reports, additionally
rewarding. :)
Best
Bill
