Subject: [Q-R] explannation of two names

In my family I am hitting on two French names that I am not familiar with.
One is Onesime and other is Eusemme. Eusemme's name sometimes shows as Usen
which might be the British way of saying "I don't have a clue how to spell
your name". I've never figured out it these names have English equivalents or
if they are uniquely French. If possible could someone give me the phonetic
pronunciation of them? I didn't see these names so much in the really old
PRDH records but lots in the mid 1800s.
