According to PRDH, Eustache Ladouceur Michon was born in France about 1728. The names of his parents were not recorded.

Why oh! why did some ancestors keep changing their names...? Didn't they
know we'd be looking for them two hundred and fifty years later ! Really
now, how thoughtless... (shaking her head...)

A case in point: the MICHELONs, come MICHONs, come MICHON LADOUCEURs,
come MARTIN LADOUCEURs, and....gone.

In Saint-Laurent, on Montreal Island, Eustache MICHON LADOUCEUR married
Marie Louise DEVOYAU, on January 19, 1757.

Seems the poor man was hatched... Or, at least, he does not appear to
have had a set of parents worth mentioning. He certainly makes no
mention of them at his marriage. And so we, his collective descendants,
are left shaking our heads at his lack of forethought...

The Fichier Benoît only shows:

LADOUCEUR-MICHON, Eustache (... ... & ... ...)
m 10/01/1757 St-Laurent, Mtl
DEVOYAU-LAFRAMBOISE, Marie-Louise (Nicolas Devoyau-Laframboise &
Cunégonde Langevin)

And the PRDH, agrees:
1757 St-Laurent LADOUCEUR MICHON EUSTACHE DEVOYAUX
LAFRAMBOISE MARIE LOUISE


But without a further clue, this is a dead end. Would any of you, who
have access to the microfilm or another repertory for Saint-Laurent,
please tell me who the witnesses to this marriage were ?

Or better yet, do any of you know whom this man's parents were ?
