For many years I have been trying to find my gggrandfather Louis
Guillotte/Deotte. In the 1851 Canada census, I find one Louis Guillotte
born @1836 in St Remi. I think this is a possiblility to be him. The name
Duquette has come up in the family and that name also appeared a number of
times on the same page of the census. The date of birth that I have for him
is March 16 1835 but that could be wrong as it is on his death certificate.
Would someone have access to the birth records of St Remi and could check
for the time period (1834-1837).

The census record was from Canada East, Huntingdon County, St Remi.
