Hi Mona
Since you have the marriage date & place you might be able to find who his
parents are if you send to the archives for his marriage record. In it I
would mention the possibility of the name as being Dufault etc.
With luck it will give his parents name.
Good luck
Renée

Subject: [Q-R] DUFAULT brickwall in Beauharnois co.

Good morning folks,

There's this little hole in my fan tree I'd really like to mend...

On February 10, 1852, in Saint-Louis de Gonzague, Laprairie, Charles
DUFAULT married Marguerite THERRIEN.

The mariages repertory for the parish lists him as Charles DUFORT, but
all of his children, and indeed himself, are known as DUFAULT (or
variations thereof DUFFAULT, DUFAUT, DUFAUX, etc.)

Marguerite THERRIEN was born in Saint-Henri de Mascouche, L'Assomption,
and her parents are Laurent THERRIEN and Félicté GOULET.

But poor Charles must have been hatched... Search as I may, I just can't
find his parents. Can one of you help?

Cheers,

Mona
