Hello Della:

I looked at the Lovell's Directory for Montreal in 1912/13; I did not see
any listing for Gouldstone (not unusual), however there was a Miss J.
Goulding (sic) residing at 61 Guilbault. The 1913/14 directory shows
Andrew Brooks at that address. By 1914/15 the resident at that address was
Jacob Lazarus. By 1915/16 Andrew Brooks appears at 51 Guilbault.

The 1918 Lovell's Directory shows the following:

Gouldstone, Mrs. Laura, wid Wm. 2275 Waverly, Montreal.
Brooks, Andrew, shell mkr 2275 Waverly, Montreal

Perhaps contacting Mount Royal Cemetery might give you information re
burials. You could also contact the Anglican Diocese of Montreal for any
information re marriages or burials of this family.

Hi Listers
I am new to Canadian reseach but have been
researching in England and the Channel Isles for
years. Even though I 'am ' a Canadian I am at a loss
on how to begin.

I have found a link of my family that left England and
immigrated to Montreal Quebec in 1907. Laura
Gouldstone and her children (she was a widow)

I am certain she died in Canada (Quebec) - and feel
she could of died around 1919 as another of her
relatives returned to England in 1919.

I was given information, from another relative, that
she and her family are on the 1911 census. I was
quite happy with this information as I didn't even
'know' the 1911 census was available !

Laura Gouldstone and family were located ...

Sub distric No 12
Place of Habitation 61 Guilbault.

Laura Gouldstone age 63
children
William 26
Rose 24
Jessie 22
Daisy 13
Beatrice 28 married to Andrew Brooks.

Now to my questions
How to find deaths for Quebec for the years 1911 to
abt 1920 ????

What other vital statistics are available such as
births and marriages?????
