Hi all,

I'm trying to help someone find their Quebec roots with very sketchy
information. She married James Littleworth either in Lambton Co., On,
or Michigan but cannot not find a marriage to find parents' names. Her
different records state her name as Lashway but we think it is Lajoie.
She was born abt May 1822, in Montreal and lived in the area where the
City Hall now stands. We also think she was Native as she had a lot of
contact with the Reserves in the Sarnia/Lambton area.

I realize this might be a brick wall that can never be broken down, but
could anyone who has birth records in what is now Montreal city centre
area, look for a birth/baptism for Margaret/Marguerite Lajoie (or even
Langevin) in that time frame?

All help appreciated,

Fran
