Married to any Charles Fortier, is not correct. I found at least 10
submissions on rootsweb and ancestry.com with this error.

Here is the proper line:

Charles Fortier (Charles and Genevieve Noel) b. 13 Feb 1746 in St-Jean
I.O m. 19 Jul 1773 Marie-Charlotte Barabe b. 5 May 1758 in Yamachiche.

Her parents were Joseph Barabe and Marguerite Marie Lamy m. 26 Jul 1756
(widow of Jean-Baptiste Lesieur Desaulniers) Marie-Charlotte was their
only child.

Joseph Barabe m.8 Jul 1780 in Louiseville 2) Marie-Charlotte
Gelinas-Bellemare (Charles and Marie-Josephe Blais) This couple also
had a daughter named Marie-Charlotte, but she did not marry either the
Charles Fortier b. in 1746 nor his son, Charles, b. in 1781 who m.
Felicite Blais in 1807.

According to PRDH Vital Records, Charles Fortier and Marie-Charlotte Barabe,
married at Yamachiche 1773-07-19 did not have one child, but thirteen, two
of whom have their own marriages recorded in the PRDH Vital Records and
Couples Repertories.
