The Campeau family was in Michigan from at least 1702 when Jean Louis,
the first child of Jacques and Louise Robert was baptised there .
They are my husband's half-sibs ancestors.
If this is the same Louis, and I think it is:
Louis Campeau (Jacques & Catherine Menard) (Jacques s/o Jean Louis &
Louise Robert) ]Jacques married first to Francoise Navarre ]
m 25 Oct 1789, Detroit
Therese Moran (Claude-Charles & Anne Belleperche)
Louis died 13 May 1834, Cottrellville, MI
I don't have all the Trudels but do have a Jean Baptiste b26 Jun 1796,
Sandwich. Parents: Louis Trudel & Suzanne Desnoyers.
Louis' parents: Louis Trudel & Catherine Trudeau dit Barbier
Hope this helps and I can give other particulars if you need them.
