Dorval began in 1680's when Sulpician priests established a mission
originally called Gentilly. The name was later changed to la Prsentation
de la Vierge Marie. Incorporated as the town of Dorval in 1903, it covers
the area along the shores of the St. Lawrence River at Lake St. Louis
between Lachine to the East and Pointe Claire to the West.
