Hi Joyce,

Are you referring to the genealogy program Personal Ancestral File, (PAF5)?
If so be aware that you must occasionally update the relationship
calculations. Especially after you find new ancestors.

Go to Tools / Preferences / File. Under Relationship Indicators click on
change and re-select yourself as root person for relationships. Click OK.

Even after updating PAF will sometimes identify an ancestor as as Xth G G
uncle or aunt. If 2 (or more) sibling are both your ancestor and say one is
8th GG father and the other is 10th GG father then your 10th GG father will
be identified as 8th GG uncle same as other non-ancestral siblings. This is
because your 8th GG uncle is more closely related to you than your 10th GG
father.

Good luck
