Luck of the draw saves prize turkey from death
A CHRISTMAS turkey cheated death after it was won in a raffle by a couple of
vegetarians, it emerged yesterday

Today in 1898 the Spanish American war was ended with the signing of a peace
treaty in Paris. Reporting on the occasion, states: "The treaty is sealed
with the private seal of each Commissioner affixed after his name in wax. As a
mark of courtesy towards France, these seals are placed on tricolour
ribbons... The final sitting of the Conference terminated shortly before nine after an
