" A very religious man, Chief Joseph Brant, "Thayendanega," translated
several Christian books into Mohawk, including the Gospel of Mark and the Acts of
the Apostles. He raised enough money to build the first Anglican Church on
the Six Nations Reserve."

" Before participating in the 1813 Battle of Moraviantown, Tecumseh had a
vision in which he saw death. Although it is certain that he was violently
killed during the battle, his burial place has never been found."

great change, having been visited by the Great Spirit in a dream. Convinced that

Mohawk Chief John Norton, Teyoninhokarawen, was born in Scotland, where he also
received his education. A hero of the War of 1812, Norton was chosen by Joseph
