In case anyone was wondering.... Sep 19, 1665 was the day Germain was
ordained... he was born back on Jan 14, 1642 (Jette, pg 834)... It is
interesting to see that the first Acadien and the first Quebecois were
ordained on the same day... does anyone have handy the parents of
Mathurin Bourg????
Alas... poor Marguerite Sedilot... because she was so young, her
marriage was rehabilitated on on Apr 12, 1655 at Montreal (Jette, pg 28,
and Tanguay)... but how is this the first recorded Canadian marriage
when I know of ones such as Guillaume Hebert and Helene desPortes back
in Oct 1, 1634, Quebec????
Curious, as usual.....
Thanks, Ellen
