Subject: Help needed. where do I look next? suggestions welcome

I am looking for the birth place of a Joseph Mercier born about 1800. HE
was the son of Joseph & M. Elisabeth Guillemet Married 6 Feb 1798
Berthier en Bas .
He married Marie Anne Senecal 22 Jun 1824 at St-Jean-Baptiste Rouville.
Marie-Anne was from ST-Francois-Xavier, Vercheres. they must of left
town shortly there after. I Found then in St-Louis Lotbiniere in Dec
1805 by accident. Where would they have gone after the marriage? to
some place where maybe his brothers had moved? Or were they more likely
to have gone to some of her relatives.? I am missing at least three
children , My Joseph, a Augustin, and Marcel.
All suggestions as where to look greatly appericated.
