Subject: Balard & Tremblay & Duchesne - oh my!

There has been quite an exchange of info on families of Balard/Ballard,
Duchesne & Tremblay recently and suddenly some names struck me as odd.

It appear to me that Elie Tremblay married his step-sister. Could SKS
confirm this or possibly sort out my confusion?

Marie Marguerite Balard/Ballard b. 1755, married twice - first to Jean
Baptiste Tremblay in 1777 at Les Eboulements, with whom she had 4 children:
- Elie b. 1778 d. 1832 *
- Eulalie b. 1780 d. 1796
- Marie Louise b. 1782
- Denys b. 1784

Marie Marguerite then married Pierre Frederic Duchesne in 1791, he was
widower of Julie Girard whom he married in 1769. Marie Marguerite & Pierre
Frederic had one child (so far):
- Joseph Marie b. 1793

* Elie Tremblay married Marie Madeleine Duchesne on 13 Nov 1798, she was
daughter of Pierre Frederic Duchesne and Julie Girard.
