HELEN R. NORMANDIN, 91, of Yale Avenue, a retired registered nurse, died
Thursday in Kent County Memorial Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Albert A. Normandin. Born in Pawtucket, a
daughter of the late Joseph P. and Lucy (O'Donnell) Jacques, she had lived
in Warwick since 1956.
Mrs. Normandin had been a registered nurse at Kent Hospital for 13 years,
retiring in 1977, and had previously worked as a school nurse and a visiting
nurse.
She was a graduate of the St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, Class of
1935.
She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis, Providence, and a
communicant of St. Peter Church, Warwick.
Mrs. Normandin was a supporter of the Latin Tridentine Mass at Holy Name
Church, Providence.
She leaves three sons, Albert M. Normandin of North Fort Myers, Fla., Peter
L. Normandin of Manchester, N.H., and Philip A. Normandin of Warwick; and 7
grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She
was the sister of the late Phileas Jacques.
The funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from Frank P. Trainor & Sons
Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 in St.
Peter Church, Fair Street. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East
Providence.
