1926 - 2004

CHICOPEE, MA - Cecile G. "Cele" (Thibault) St. Onge, 77, of the Aldenville
section of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Monday March 1, 2004 with her
loving family at her side. She was born in Chicopee on June 11, 1926 a beloved
daughter of the late Joseph N. and Albina (Brodeur) Thibault and was a lifelong
resident of Aldenville. She was a communicant of Saint Rose de Lima Church in
Aldenville. She leaves her beloved husband of 50 years, Leo J. St. Onge. They
were married at Saint Rose de Lima Church in Aldenville on September 7, 1953.
She also leaves her loving children, Gregg L. St. Onge and his wife Debra of
Chicopee, Janet M. Galvin and her husband Charles of Westfield and Joan M.
Galiatsos and her husband Robert of West Springfield. She was the loving
grandmother of her five cherished grandchildren, Scott M. St. Onge, Selina M. St. Onge,
Larissa M. Galvin, Hillary M. Galvin and Caroline B. Galiatsos. She also
leaves her dear sisters, Rita A. Thibault of Springfield and Doris Guimond and her
husband Frank of Jupiter, FL. Her dear brother-in-law, John J. Dzura of
Sturbridge, MA and her many dear nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her dear
brother, Laurent Thibault and her dear sisters, Jeanne Y. Dzura and Marcelle
Madden. Her funeral will be held Thursday morning March 4, 2004 at 9 a.m. from
the St. Pierre Aldenville Funeral Chapels, 13 Dale Street at the junction of
Grattan Street in Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30
a.m. in Saint Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street in Aldenville. Her burial
will be private at the convenience of the family. Her family will receive
friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning March 4, 2004 from 9 a.m. until 10
a.m. before the Mass. For those that prefer to make a memorial donation, they
may be made in her memory to the Saint Joan of Arc-Saint George School Fund,
600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
