Subject: [Q-R] Anyone on the list researching the SALVAS family?
Date: Thu, 15 Jan 2004 20:23:23 -0500

I am curious about Louis SALVAS s/o Louis & Marie Mandeville and Adélaide
PéLOQUIN who married Feb 7, 1840 in St-Aimé, Massueville.

They are both Lavallée descendants and so are of interest to me. After
their marriage I had no information at all about them but today I found an
1880 census record for Louis and Adelaide SALVAS and their 6 children at
White Bear, Ramsey, Minnesota.

The older two Esdras 30 and Olivier 24 had been born in Canada but the
other four were born in Minnesota. These were Jean 19, Joseph 16, Matilde
14 and William 11.

If anyone could confirm that this record is the correct one for the couple
I mentioned I would appreciate knowing. My husband's gggparents left
St-Aimé around 1850 and went to St-Paul, Minnesota so it wouldn't be unlikely.

Thanks in advance,

Jann
