Alice M. Corbin
LOWELL - Alice M. Corbin, a long time Lowell resident and a retired dress
stitcher, died Wednesday evening, Dec. 31, at a Lowell nursing home
following an extended illness. She was 84.
She was born in Lowell on June 1, 1919, a daughter of the late Xavier F. and
Anastasia (Moreau) Corbin.
Prior to her retirement, Miss. Corbin was employed at Shields Industries,
formerly Jay Dress Co., as a stitcher for more than 30 years. She had also
worked at Porter Dress Co.
Miss Corbin was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Lowell,
and a member of the church's Blessed Virgin Society.
She is survived by a sister, Lillian Ducharme of Methuen. She also leaves
two sisters-in-law, Cecile Corbin of Lowell and Henriette Corbin of Dracut;
a brother-in-law, Joseph Breen of Arlington; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late, Pauline Breen, George Corbin, Maurice
Corbin, Leo Corbin, Victor Corbin, Joseph Arthur Corbin and Gerard Corbin.
