1919 - 2003

CHICOPEE, MA. - Jeanne-Darc Y. Roy, 84, of Granby Rd., died Monday, Nov. 10,
2003 at the Willimansett Nursing Home Center. Born on April 29, 1919 in
Canada, she spent her life in Chicopee. She was an inspector for the Spaulding
Sports Manufacturing Co. for 43 years before retiring in 1981. She belonged to the
Ladies of St. Ann and was a communicant of Assumption Church in Chicopee. She
was the daughter of the late Onesime Roy and Helena (Lacroix) Roy. She is
predeceased by her daughter, Simone Boolerice who passed away in 1988 and by her
brothers, Paul Roy (Oct. 30, 2003), Roger Lacombe (1970) and Joseph Lacombe
(1971). She leaves her loving sister, Germaine Bernashe of Chicopee; her neice,
Germaine Korzeniowski of Chicopee; her nephew, Rev. Robert Roy; along with many
other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear cousins in
Canada. Funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 14th at 8:00 a.m. in the Grise Funeral
Home, 280 Springfield St., Chicopee, followed by a 9:00 a.m. Mass at Assumption
Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday
evening 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made in her memory to
St. Ann's Shrine, 5384 Wilson Mills Rd., Cleveland, OH 44143.
