Roger Joseph Castonguay

Roger Joseph Castonguay, 79, of Windsor, Suffield, and Palm Bay, FL, entered
into eternal peace on Wednesday, (October 29 2003) Born on January 15, 1924
in St. Louis Du Ha-Ha, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of the late John and
Mary (Raymond) Castonguay. Roger was a member of the Local 76, Hartford, and
currently, Local 777, Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union. He served as Lt. of
the Hayden Station Fire Department of Windsor, Auxiliary State Police Marine
Patrol, and co-owned C&K Plumbing and Heating. Roger was a member of the
Suffield Democratic Town Committee, and the Suffield Sewer Commission. He
served our country as a Cpl. with the U.S. Army during World War II in
Rhineland, France. His life interests were his family, hunting in Vermont,
boating, fishing, and love of horses. He leaves his children and their
spouses, Carol and David Parker of Stafford Springs, Dianne and Dennis Klaus
of Suffield, Gail Denise and Alan Stegman of Windsor Locks, Roger J.
Castonguay Sr. of Enfield, Teresa and Timothy Zeitler of New Hartford; 14
grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Conrad Castonguay of
Vernon, and his sister and brother-in-law, Gilberta and Charles Castonguay
of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Rena
Castonguay, a grandson, Shawn Castonguay, seven brothers, and a sister.
Private services were held in Palm Bay, FL on November 3, 2003. A memorial
service will be on Tuesday, November 11, at 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church,
446 Mountain Road, Suffield. Memorial donations can be made to the American
Heart Association or the Hole in the Wall Gang.
