1932 - 2003

CHICOPEE, MA. - Pearl F. (Fortin) Bessette, 70, of the Willimansett section
of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Thursday September 4, 2003. She was last
employed as a Teller for the former Park National Bank and later Westbank both
in Holyoke and retired in 1987. She was born in Holyoke on December 5, 1932 a
daughter of the late Sylvio and Alphonsine (Villeneuve) Fortin and had lived
in the Willimansett section of Chicopee since 1951. Her beloved husband,
Gerald M. Bessette was Called Home on August 5, 1986. She leaves her loving
children, Patricia J. Hanecak and her husband Kenneth of Belchertown, Gary W.
Bessette and his wife Cindy of Chicopee, Gail C. May of Chicopee and William M.
Bessette and his wife Rebekah of Raymond County, ME. Her cherished grandchildren,
Justin Hanecak, Crystal Hanecak, Corinne Hanecak, Shayne Bessette, Jason May,
Gerald Bessette, II and Christine Montessori. Her cherished
great-grandchildren, Justin Hanecak, Jr., Celina May, Ryan Bessette, William Bessette, II and
Dylan Montessori. Her dear sister, Georgette LaFlamme and her husband Leonard of
Granby, MA. She also leaves her many dear nephews and nieces. Her funeral will
be held Tuesday morning September 9, 2003 at 8 a.m. from the St. Pierre
Aldenville Funeral Chapels, 13 Dale Street at the junction of Grattan Street in
Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Saint Rose de Lima
Church, 600 Grattan Street in Aldenville. Her burial will follow the Mass at
Saint Rose Cemetery on Olsen Street in Aldenville. Her family will receive
friends at the funeral home on Monday September 8, 2003 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The
parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear off of Lafayette Street.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society,
30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or to P.A.W.S., P.O. Box 742, Granby, MA
01033.
