I am searching for "rententist". It was mentioned in the Digitalarkivet in
1801 as the
work (yrke) of my possible great-great-grandfather, Paul Christian Rye, born
in 1753.

Did you EVER think I'd find a great-great-grandfather, knowing only the name
Rudolph Olsen and that he was born in Norway? I accidentally said "great",
but Rudolph's dad would be my great-and he was "only" born in 1807. I am
astounded at how late in life all my family had their children-it seems to
be a pattern, even to this day, with the exception of my sister and her
seven children.
