FROM LOCAL TV STATION:

This forecast prepared by Meteorologist Rick Sluben

We have a major winter storm on our hands this morning as conditions will
slowly go downhill as our latest snowstorm moves in our direction. Look for
mostly light snow this morning, but the intensity will increase as will the
winds as we head towards the evening commute. Snow heavy at times, along with
strong, gusty northeast winds will create Blizzard-like conditions from the
late evening hours into the early morning hours Saturday. Please try to stay
off the roads during this time as driving will become very dangerous - if not
impossible. The snow should continue most of the day tomorrow, not tapering
off until the afternoon hours. Total accumulations will range from up to 2
feet in the higher terrain of Berkshire, Franklin and Worcester counties, to
12-18" in much of the Pioneer Valley, to 8-12" in the lower Pioneer Valley
(including the metro Springfield area), where sleet is expected to keep
accumulations down overnight tonight. Be safe.

Don't know where city workers and private snow removal people will put all
this stuff!
I think our drought will be over soon.

Regards,
Linnie
