Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone carrying the Mallet surname has ancestors from Flemish Belgium in the 1800-1850's time frame?

Was the name ever changed once in the USA to Malliet?

My Malliet ancestors in Belgium spoke French with the surname beeing spelled Mallet MOST of the time in the couple records sent to me.

It was suggested I check into this possibility by a Belgiun who sent me Church records.
