Hello Fellow Listers,
The food I most associate with my French-Canadian ancestors is what
we called potato pie. I can't remember what my grandparents called it
when they were speaking French. Both sets of grandparents, the
RIENDEAUs and the DELARMES, frequently enjoyed this great tasting dish,
especially during the long, dark, cold winter.
It had a very rich crust and was filled with a spicy, oniony mashed
potato mixture. It was great! It is probably illegal now due to its
high cholesteral count.
Please, does someone have the recipe?
Thanks.

Best to you,
Rich
