Roland E. Savard
LOWELL - Roland E. Savard, 88, a lifelong resident of the Pawtucketville
section, died yesterday morning, Nov. 13, at his home. He was the husband of
the late Cecile J. (Maher) Savard.
Born in Lowell on Jan. 9, 1914, he was a son of the late Aime and Pamela
(Bergeron) Savard.
He was a longtime communicant of Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Church.
Mr. Savard was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed for many years by the City of
Lowell.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roger L. and Mary (Foreman)
Savard of Lowell; four daughters and sons-in-law, Irene G. and Gerard
Letendre of Lowell, Paulette M. and Edward Burke of Methuen, Yolande M. and
William Cordeiro of Billerica, and Michelle M. and James Martin of Dracut; a
daughter-in-law, Paula Savard of Sterling; 18 grandchildren and 14
great-grandchildren.
He was also the father of the late Gerard A. Savard and the brother of the
late Edward and Gerard Savard.
