ELOISE BLAIS, 96, of Sayles Hill Road, Manville, a former Sidney Blumenthal
Co. worker, died yesterday at the Holiday Retirement Home, Manville.
She was the wife of Joseph Blais; they had been married for 67 years. Born
in Yamarka, Quebec, Canada, a daughter of the late Bruno and Alphonsine
(Parenteau) St. Germain, she had lived in Woonsocket for most of her life.
She had lived in the Manville section of Lincoln for the past 10 years.
Mrs. Blais had worked in the drawing department at the former Sidney
Blumenthal Co. of Woonsocket for 10 years before retiring.
Besides her husband, she leaves four nephews, Eddie M. and Albert Blais,
both of North Smithfield, Gerard Blais of Woonsocket and Normand Blais of
Johnston; and three nieces, Jeannette Levesque of Woonsocket, Lillian
Brouseau of Central Falls and Claire Allard in North Carolina. She was the
sister of the late Willie, Maurice and Helen St. Germain, Hectorine Parent
and Louise Michaud.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m from the Menard Funeral Home, 127
Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in
Precious Blood Church, 94 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in
Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
