Oka is the name of a town in Quebec in an area known as Deux Montagnes.
There is a monastery there that makes, among other things, Oka cheese - very
strong smelling, like Limburger cheese. There is also a large native
population in the area which caused quite a stir in 1990, referred to in the
newspapers as "the Oka standoff"; there is info on the Net about that.
