Subject: [Q-R] BEAUGRAND, S.S.P., & DE BLANZY

Hi all .... I received so many responses (10) to my query I have decided
to respond to you all at the same time. I am amzed at the response and I
thank you 1 and all. What a List !!!!!

First, I now understand S.S.P. Never saw it used before.

Second, the Notary, Louis-Claude Danre de Blanzy, I still do not find listed
in the Notary lists of Tanguay & Jette. Overlooked?

Stephen volunteered to me that DeBlanzy probably referred to the individual
who drew up the document. The name shows up frequently in PRDH as the pastor
of a parish.

Linnie sent me a Parchemin document indicating he was the guardian of
someone's minor children. And, also a copy of this couples Contract but it
had the name of DELAFOSSE at the end.

Anyway, you have all given me a lot to think about. It certainly appears
that Danre de Blanzy was a Notary who attested to the S.S.P. contrat at some
later time.

Once again, I thank you all so much for this input. What a list !!!!! But
we knew that, didn't we.
