I could be wrong but from all the history that I've been able to wean from
different websites, Jean Poisson arrived in New France as first Seigneur of
Gentilly, but never made it that far. Not a soldier in any man's army but
as
all the pioneers of that time, they were citizen soldiers fighting off the
Iroquois.
So I have to assume he had plenty of opportunities to use the guns he
crafted.
Indeed, he died a torturous death at the hands of these Iroquois.
