Bonjour and Good Morning to All

First, we would like to tank the many people who responded to our inquiry
concerning Rangs/Rang #9. Your input has provided a great education. We
consider ourselves very lucky to have great grandparents of both French and
Anglo origins from the Eastern Townships of Quebec.
The first location we are looking for is referred to as the "Sloan Place"
(or farm) on Rang 9 in Hereford or East Hereford. William and Elzada
Hawes(se) lived there. I do not know Elzada's maiden name. It may have been
"Heath" or "Hathron". William was the brother of Lucy Hawse Henry.

The second location comes from the 1861 Census. District 3, Township of
Hatley, County of Stanstead, page 125.

"Bounded by the Stanstead and Compton Road Crossing the Burroughs Bridge,
the Compton to Stanstead Line and by Stanstead to the first named boundary."
This family lived-in a one story log house with 78 acres of land attached
to the house.
Franklin (Frank) Hawse, age 56
Judith (Woodward) Hawse, age 45
Lucy, age 26 (Mrs. Joseph Henry)
William, age 21 (my lost great grandfather)
Wright, age 16
Mariah, age 10
Mary, age 4 (Mrs. S.C. Wilson)

Based on this census discription, does anyone have any general idea where
this location might be?

Again, thanks to everyone for so much help.

Teresa and Robert
