JARRET-de-BEAUREGARD is a "dit" name for BEAUREGARD
<<<<<<<<<<<

Actually, BEAUREGARD is a "dit" name for Jarret (Jaret, Jared). The first
of the name in the New World, André, was called Sieur de Beauregard or dit
Beauregard, and his half-brother, François Jaret, Sieur de Verchères. Both
arrived with the Carignan Regiment in 1665. André's son Vincent has some
of his descendants named after him, with the last name VINCENT.

There are varient spellings for Beauregard as well.
