The most infamous Confederate prison camp of the Civil War,
Andersonville housed an estimated 45,000 Union soldiers during the war.
This database is a collection of records compiled by the National Park
Service of camp inmates between 1863 and 1865. Researchers will find
rank, unit, death, and capture information in addition to the inmate's
name and state of residence.
