I have looked at the available data, and this is what I find, from the
perspective of a parish priest:

On 31 December 1721 at Pointe-Claire, was baptized Marie-Marguerite,

daughter of Louis Larocque and Marie-Madeleine Sabouran [sic] was baptized,

according to the certificate of baptism issued by the celebrant, Breul, and

recorded in PRDH.

On 15 May 1747 at Oka, Thomas Proulx, son of Jacques Proulx and
Louise
Pilon, married Marie-Madeleine Laroque, daughter of Louis Laarocque and
Francoise Sabourin, according to the certificate of marriage issued by the
celebrant, who is not named, and recorded in PRDH.

If one were to contact the Archives Nationales du Quebec, the above
information would be transmitted in a typescript certificate, or included
in
a photocopy of the document, as it would be the information included in the

original record. <snip>

Part of the problem may be that these original records are probably
available only in the _civil archive_ copies, the originals having
disappeared. PRDH usually indicates this. The more a record is
transcribed, the more the possibility for error.
