Hello Scott ... I have found very little on this name. I have the
Marriage Registers of all the Laprairie county churches. They show many
marriages of RAQUEPAS, the earliest being in 1893 and the majority in the
1900's. One Register notes a variant of the name being REICHEMBACK. No idea
what or whom that refers to.

The closest I can find in my research books is: Jacques RAQUEBOT. b. 1710, a
mariner, native of Bordeaux, who was buried in Quebec 5 Aug. 1733. No
mention of any marriage. He died young.

I looked in other Marriage Registers and did see a Marguerite RAQUE who m. in
1794 St.Antoine and several RAQUIER at St.Pierre. These may also be varaint
spellings.

That's the best I could come up with. Sorry it's not more.
